Abstract

When retained by attorneys to provide consultation, forensic mental health professionals may be asked to critique a child custody evaluation, assist in crafting cross-examination questions for the evaluator who wrote an evaluation unfavorable to the client, or assist attorneys in selecting court-ordered evaluators and monitoring court-ordered evaluations. This workshop will explore the parameters of the litigation consultant’s role and ethical responsibilities.
