Abstract

Adult Hispanic English as a Second Language (ESL) women clearly indicate that their participation in ESL classes impacted their linguistic, cultural, and educational adjustment. Analysis of their responses reveal guidelines for adult ESL educators and ways in which educators can help empower this seldom heard voice and change the way they look at their classrooms, students, and practice.
