Courtney Beggs is a Visiting Lecturer of English at Bridgewater State University. She specializes in Restoration and 18^th-century British literature and culture, and her most recent work traces the connections between gender, space, and writing in the life and legacy of Hortense Mancini, Duchess Mazarin.
