Abstract

The Nairobi Pact of October 15th, 2006 on Security, Stability and Development in the Great Lakes Region is achieved through long effort and process in the framework of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region. This paper attempts to highlight the conditions of its inception and formulation process. However, in order to go beyond the achievements in policy formulations, the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region requires a great commitment of leaders and peoples of the region as well as the international solidarity.
